Qualifications: Children who are 17 and under, from any ethnic backgrounds
Registration Rules and Information
- Eligible Age Groups
- 6 years old and under
- 7 to 10 years old
- 11 to 14 years old
- 15 to 17 years old
- Art Categories
- 2-D: Drawing, painting, prints, calligraphy, etc.
- 3-D: Craftwork, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, etc.
- Screen Arts: Photographs or videos captured using digital technology.
- Digital Artwork: graphic design, animation, web design, etc.
- All entries must be made solely by the participant within the past year.
- Entries will be displayed publicly and winning entries will not be returned to participants.
- A $20 CAD registration fee is required from all Canadian entrants upon registering. ($20 USD for non-Canadian entrants.) Accepted payment options are cash, money order, or cheques made out to ToArt Communications Ltd.
- 2-D entries cannot exceed 35.5 cm x 43.2 cm (14 inches x 17 inches) in size.
- 3-D entries cannot exceed 1 m x 1 m x 1 m in size.
- Entries will be evaluated by creativity, expression of the theme, and technical skill.
- The Committee has the right to auction, copy, publish, film, spread, and edit the entry pieces.
- All entries must be received by July 31, 2010.
Awards:
- Gold: one from each age group
- Silver: two from each age group
- Bronze: three from each age group
- Awards of recognition: several from each age group
- Best Creative Award: one
- New Artist: Award: one
- Outstanding organization: any school recommending more than 10 entry pieces will receive this award
- Outstanding Instructor: any instructor whose student(s) have received gold, silver, or bronze will receive this award
Distribution and Publication:
- The award ceremony will be held onAugust 28, 2011. All award winners will receive trophies and certificates.
- The Exhibition will publish “Canadian International Children Children’s Arts Exhibition Entry Collection” during November of 2011. Subscription has already started.
